TAILORING FUTURE
COLLABORATIVE WORK PROGRAM
Program TAILORING FUTURE proposes developing new business models for alterations, maintenance, resale, and rental of used and unused discarded clothing, which reintegrate products into the market and extend lifespan.
Building on the processes of defining new business models, the TAILORING FUTURE program aims to initiate dialogue between industry and institutions to develop new educational profiles, as well as financial support programs for current and future founders of clothing alteration workshops in Serbia.
The program is developed in accordance with the leading global sustainable development strategies:
- Sustainability and Circularity in the Textile Value Chain – A Global Roadmap (UNDP)
- The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – SDG Goal 12 (UN)
- The Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) – European Commission
- Roadmap for Circular Economy in Serbia – Ministry of Environmental Protection Republic of Serbia
The initiative for implementing the principles of sustainable development REPPAREL is based on research and development, as well as gathering stakeholders from the Serbian textile and fashion industry and representing them in national and international institutions.
The goal of the TAILORING FUTURE Program is to improve technologies, standards, and practices that will enable the implementation of circular principles and increase competitiveness in the global market.
