From textile heritage to the future of sustainable Innovation

REPPAREL Initiative connects deep industry experience, sustainability, and innovation to support the long-term transformation of the textile sector -from Serbia, for Europe.

REPPAREL Initiative was born from a profound understanding of the textile and fashion industry — its craftsmanship, its culture, and its structural challenges.

The initiative established its first institutional contacts in Serbia in 2019 and operated for several years as an informal platform for dialogue, research, and industry collaboration.

In autumn 2025, REPPAREL Initiative was formally registered as a professional citizens’ association, with a clear mission and a long-term vision for the sustainable development of the textile industry in Serbia and the wider region.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to help the textile industry evolve in a smarter, more sustainable, and future-oriented way, without losing its identity.

REPPAREL Initiative supports companies and institutions navigating deep structural, regulatory, and technological change within the textile and fashion industry.

Our work is focused on:

Micro and small enterprises, many of them family-owned businesses with generations of craftsmanship and production know-how. We help them build modern, resilient, and sustainable business models while preserving their unique heritage and skills.

Medium and large companies that need timely, practical guidance to adapt to new European Commission regulations and to the rapidly evolving global sustainability, circularity, and digitalization frameworks.

We do not offer generic solutions. Instead, we work closely with industry stakeholders to develop realistic, applicable, and long-term strategies grounded in operational reality.

REPPAREL Initiative aims to support the transformation of parts of the Serbian textile industry — from predominantly labor-intensive production toward R&D-driven, knowledge-based value creation aligned with the 4th and 5th industrial revolutions.
